We do not recommend washing more frequently than once every two months. Light sponging can easily clean minor accidents.


Kookaburra Woolwash Instructions:

Sheepskin, Woolen, and Blended Washable Products: Always wash in warm or cold water. Never use hot water. Follow the manufacturers instructions.

Machine wash:

Top Load:

Measure 1.3 FL OZ for a large load and half the quantity for a small load. Select cold or warm wash. Use gentle or woolwash settings and double rinse.

Front Load:

Use 2/3 FL OZ for a large load and 1/3 FL OZ for a small load. Select cold or warm wash. Use gentle or woolwash settings and double rinse.

Hand Wash:
Measure 1.3 FL OZ for every 4 Gallons of cold or lukewarm water. For large items, best results will be achieved using a bath tub. Place sheepskin in the solution and work it through the article for approximately 5 minutes. Do not stretch the skin. Rinse thoroughly with cold water until water is clear.

Drying:
If machine washing, spin dry then allow to dry away from direct heat or sunlight. If hand washing, do not wring dry. Tumble dry in a warm dryer.

Other Woolwash or mild detergent washing instructions.

Machine wash warm or cool with a mild detergent (dish soap works well) on a 2-minute gentle cycle and cold rinse. Tumble dry on a cool, low setting, or hang outside on a windy day. The fleece should NOT be hung in front of direct heat or over a radiator.
Shake fleece ourdoors regularly to fluff up wool and remove any foreign particles. Also brush lightly with a wire brush after washing.
